I’m new in the fruit cove area, something about this park and his riverside view makes me feel so much happy and peaceful. It just literally has become my favorite evening activity. Coming here for a walk and finish the day catching the sunset is just outstanding. I bet new visitors will feel the same too ✨🤍
Long drive from the Westside is totally worth it. Comfortable picnic areas, excellent shaded playground, great trails, dog-friendly, geocaching, waterfront view, dock to walk out on and enjoy that waterfront view, historical buildings, butterfly gardens and even a Little Free Book Library. One of the best parks in town. It’s a go to for me when I need to recharge.
Alpine Groves Park is a hidden gem in Fruit Cove, Florida. It is a small park with a lot to offer, including a beautiful riverfront, a historic home, a butterfly garden, and a playground.
The riverfront is my favorite part of the park. There is a long pier that extends out over the water, and you can often see dolphins swimming by. There are also several benches along the river where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
The historic home is also worth a visit. It was built in the early 1900s, and it is now used for community events. The butterfly garden is small, but it is home to a variety of butterflies.
The playground is a great place for kids to play. It has a variety of equipment, including swings, slides, and a climbing structure.
Overall, Alpine Groves Park is a great place to visit for a relaxing afternoon. It is a peaceful and scenic park with something to offer everyone.
Nice local park on the St. John's river. Meandering trail through the woods down to the river. Several historic buildings along the way.
A nice small children's playground.
Several garden swings along the river near an historic home.
A beautiful park that has a dock you can walk on and enjoy the views of the river. Love that there are pathways to walk and you can bring your dogs.
This is wonderful park with rich history. It is quieter than most other local nature walks which really allows you to take in the scenery.
Very nice park!! Well maintained grounds and historical building.
I usually go to the park 3 to 4 times a week. I ride my bicycle around the park twice a week, and I hike over to the park once or twice a week, given that I live within walking distance. The park is well kept, trash is picked up routinely, the grounds and walking trails have their leaves blown regularly, and the grass areas are mowed. I really appreciate the effort to keep the park beautiful! Things I noticed over the last year are more related to visitors and include concerns over speeding in the 10 mph zone, and some park goers allowing their children to climb over or under the fenced areas on the river. The erosion of the area continues to take its toll on the river bank area. In order to help preserve this beautiful park, everyone should respect the boundaries of the paths so we can continue to enjoy its beauty! It would be nice if there was a pedestrian walking path either side of SR 13, so that the local folks could safely get to the park with having to drive. The park has a beautiful playground, and the trails are perfect for hiking, bird watching, and dog walking
